Bio / Description:

- Hi im Tiddy, im 17 years old and one of my big passions in life is Dubstep and producing my own dubstep songs, i think its the best music out there hope you like.

RAI Review:

"Again, Tiddy has a leg up among the other artists of RAI, I love dubstep.  I'll be honest here though, Tiddy's songs are a bit repetitive.  However, the higher your sub woofers go the greater Tiddy's tracks become.  His songs sound AMAZING on a good stereo system.  My favorite song by far is 'Mind Kill'.  The bass used in that song will most definitley kill your mind!"

RAI Review:

"First off Eggs Fubar has one of the most creative name for a musician.  And somehow, the name fits the music.  Eggs Fubar's music has an interesting twist of genres.  The guitar is mixed and looped with an awesome array of percussion that complete the track.  I enjoy listening to the almost experimental tracks of Eggs Fubar."

"Songs the TB-808 can finally be proud of.  Keezy19's song are made for the 808.  The beat, melody and lyrics are smooth, and then the sub woofer steps in and says... BOOOOM.  I love the 808.  Keezy19 produces some really hot hiphop beats that I can listen to for hours.  Now I just wanna pop his CD into my Impala SS and blast the bass while I drive around.  Ooo so good!"

- Ross Bennett
- Band, Band Member, Recording Artist, Singer, Lyricist
- Main Genre: Acoustic
- Website: http://www.myspace.com/rossbennettmusic

Bio / Description:

- I am a young singer/songwriter from the UK, singing simple, honest music. I write music that sounds good rather than is technically difficult. All of my songs contain meanings and messsages and I hope you can identify with what I'm trying to say.

RAI Review:

"Simple songs with great feeling.  Clean vocals and skills on the guitar.   I picture Ross Bennett playing infront of a crowd of a few thousand girls yelling for him to take off his shirt or throw his beanie to the crowd.  Listen closely to his music and you will find subtle tweaks in the audio, from a slight echo, or small touch of reverb that really makes the track.  A true acoustic artist: Ross Bennett."

- Halofobic
- DJ, Producer, Recording Artist, Lyricist
- Main Genre: Dubstep

Bio / Description:

- Halofobic is a dub-step/drum and bass fusion based from Virginia.

Halofobic draws his inspirations from variety of cultures and countries, as well as different music genders to deliver a unique musical composition.

RAI Review:

"This review is a little biased.  Alright, I'll be honest... REALLY biased.  I love dubstep!  Halofobic is definitley my favorite dubstep artist.  His tracks feature the stereotypical wobbles and wowwows while holding a huge amount of culture routed deep inside.  Some tracks I would classify as easy listening dubstep.  And most dubstep songs can barely be called music...  I love the Eastern influence in Halofobics songs.  It is almost soothing to listen to them.  While at the very same your body is rocking to the heavy bass kick and wobbles.  Awesome!"

"Now I'll be honest, I used an audio recorder to rip a few of their songs off Myspace, added them to my Zune, and went to the store in my Chevy Impala SS with a custom sound system and pressed play.  WOAH, produces some great cruisin' music!  Their tracks definitley belong on Serius XM radio's HipHop channels.  The real test was when I showed WOAH to my good friend Komacron, a HipHop producer and rapper from South Jersey.  His exact words were: 'This shit is HOT'."

- Website: http://www.sylvainpiquette.com/

Bio / Description:
*Taken from http://www.sylvainpiquette.com/

- I've always had a love for music and discovered my talent for playing music at age fifteen. At nineteen, I began playing in a local band called Horizon Show band and we played together frequently for many functions all throughout Sturgeon Falls, ON for the three years following.
When I was 27, I felt called to dedicate the music I made and shared to Jesus who is my Lord and Saviour. I began playing in Ottawa at various places such as detention centers, prisons, drop-in centers, coffee houses, as well as in church.
During that time, I was also involved in a mobile mission ministry; feeding and helping the less fortunate, and serving at a youth centre. I also enjoyed acting and singing in specials events. I feel my purpose is to reach out to those in need, in whatever way I am able.

RAI Review:

"A nice blend of Guitar, Synth and Vocals.  His songs reflect his attitude.  Driven by faith and the kindness of helping others Sylvain Piquette writes songs with true meaning.  His tracks feature a deep meaning without being obsiously and overly religious.  He presents a great combination of foot taping music and a heartfelt message behind all of his songs."

RAI Review:

"The hotest thing new Hip-Hop has to offer.  Fresh beats and lyrics that hit hard.  Knyce belongs at the top of the charts.  Knyce has the makings to rival that of Rihanna, Jay Z, and Usher.  It comes as comforting insurance to me that the future of Hip-Hop lays in the hands of artists like Knyce.  Personally, I am not a huge Hip-Hop fan.  I am proud to say Knyce has helped me realize what I am really missing out on:  Knyce."

Sweet Nasty - Connected

- Sweet Nasty
- Band
- Main Genre:  Rock / Funky Americana
- Website: http://www.sweetnastyband.com/

Bio / Description:

- Sweet Nasty formed in the Fall of 2007. The All-Star Lineup quickly made a move on the scene with the release of their debut EP, 'Bread, Wine and Circus'. They were featured on AZTV and NPR radio immediately. The bands' original style of Funky Americana has proven a to be an influence. When asked about the band name and album title Anthony said in an interview with AZ WEEKLY, " the band name came from a conversation Johnny an I had over our favorite kind of music. We agreed it was those SWEET ballads that just rip your heart out and those NASTY grooves that get ya movin that truely inspire us. As far as the EP title, it came from the old Greek "Bread and Circus" philosophy; that if you keep the people over fed and over entertained, they wont revolt. I truley feel its a sign of the times we are in now." The band is currently working on their first full length recording titled, 'LIFE ON FIRE', with a Summer 2010 release date. "MOJO DEVILS CLAW" DIRECTED BY: IRON DUKE PRODUCTIONS featuring TAMELA TURTLE & PYROKLECTIC

RAI Review:

"Normally when I review an artist for connection through RAI I visit the website, read what other people have said, and listen to about 2 to 3 tracks.  Normally one track will stand out and I will listen to it again and write my review based off that.  Granted, after the review is on RAI's website I'll visit the artists website again and listen to all of their music to help me work with the artist on further promotional services.  However, Sweet Nasty came along and ruined my process.  I found myself sitting by my laptop for an hour and half listening to their music.  While Sweet Nasty caught my attention within the first 5 seconds of song, I listened to their featured playlist 4 times before realizing I had a review to write.  From great lyrics to a funky drumline of almost perfect proportions Sweet Nasty has it all.  To anyone that enjoys great music and good time I recommend Sweey Nasty to you!"

RAI Review:

"An interesting electronic producer. Sounds different then any other new producer I have heard. Normally I'll listen to someone just starting out they all their sounds take after their favorite artist and are full of presents. With Tsk2Mann however, I get the feeling he does everything from scratch which is rare in today's music world. Some of his tracks have a really nice feel to them so I recommend you go check him out."

Reverie In Me - Connected

- Nikki Sherman / Reverie In Me
- Band, Band Member, Singer, Lyricist
- Main Genre: Acoustic
- Website: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Reverie-In-Me/188972688642?ref=ts
Bio / Description:

Reverie In Me (made up of singer-songwriter Nikki Sherman and her guitar) is a San Diego based musician. After loving music for her whole life, she decided it was time to make love with the music as well, and Reverie In Me was born.
In the beginning, RIM was heavily influenced by artists like Elliott Smith, Kimya Dawson, Nick Drake, and Iron and Wine. Since then the guitar has become a little louder and the vocals a little clearer, though never losing the dual-harmonizing birth (d)effect.
Though the music is instrumentally simple, the lyrics are laced with intricacy. It has been suggested that a close, intimate listen involving headphones and a quiet room be the optimal setting.

RAI Review:

"While only having a small group of loyal fans, they all love her and her music deeply. Between the first 5 seconds of listening to her track 'The Man Who Burned In Hell' and the next 3 times I listened to it I became a fan myself. The quality and depth of Reverie In Me's songs are above top notch. The guitar and dual vocal parts are excellent! Reverie In Me claims that listening with headphones in a quiet room is the optimal setting for her music. I was surprised to find that this was more then true. However, I found that listening to Reverie In Me sounds perfect on a picnic table outside on a sunny day. "

Peace Love Productions - Connected

"Acid WAV file loops for an Electronic Culture"
Main Genre: Electronic
Type: Other(Website), Producer

Peace Love Productions (PLP) is one the best resources on the internet today for free loops and samples. PLP samples are compatible with Reason, Fruity Loops, and every popular music production software on the market. PLP is also host to some great music resources. One page references other websites where bands and musicians can recieve free music promotion. Rising Artists International is actually listed there.

I recommend PLP to all electronic producers out there, especially the ones already connected with RAI. I produce my own music (DJ Geist13) and I can honestly say PLP's samples and loops are top notch! While many of PLP's loops and samples are free their best stuff is in the premium download packs. The ten to thirty dollars are well worth it.

To Learn more about Peace Love Productions visit them on their website.
And for more online resources about Free Music Promotion, visit PLP's page about that.

Survival Guide Tip #1 - Patience

With the distortion of today's mass media giants we get the impression that every month a new musical artist has struck it big over night. Magically, their songs reach Top 10 on the charts and they are famous for life. They are seen on TV and magazines across the globe. But behind every sucess story no matter how seemingly sudden it took A LOT of work to get there. You cannot sit around and wait for sucess to happen to you. You have to make sucess happen to you.

The first tip of the Artist Survival Guide is Patience becuase in the music industry to do something right is to be patient and make sure everything is perfect. Popular recording artists such as Taylor Swift, Kevin Rudolf, David Guetta, and the Black Eyed Peas normally take about 2-3 months to release a new hit. The key word there is HIT. These recording artists are already famous, they already have their fanbase, and they already have their repuation of releasing great music. Even with said traits even the best recording artists and producers do not always release a hit. Yes, even the elite must be patient with their work.  The average recording session for a single track takes 16 hours or more.  On top of that once songs are recorded it takes upwards to around 6-8 hours to properly master an album.  From recording, to mastering, releasing, to marketing you as the artist must be patient.

So how can an artist without a very large fanbase, and without a global reputation make it big? To be honest, some never will. That is just the way the world works. But some, have the ambition, the skill, the knowledge, the presistance and the patience to achieve their musical goals. Whether your goals are to just make a solid living, or make it in the tabloids every month you need to be patient.  Good things do not come to those who wait, but to those who are patient.
